Saga is a super out there and exciting Western (not as in cowboys) comic which I've been reading for a couple years now. The world of Saga is absolutely unbelievable and insane, but the super well done characters ground the insanity in some believability to the point where after reading for long enough you just stop feeling like TV people are out of place. The art is great too, they have no problems rendering giant scenes and the covers to every chapter are always really cool. The characters of this story feel squishy and weak which isn't a bad thing in my opinion, if they get shot they're probably going to die and the authors have shown that they're more than willing to kill off long running characters. Because of this when confrontation happens there's genuine tension and the possibility that characters you've spent years watching grow might just straight up die, except for Hazel I guess. She's the narrator after all which while I don't think is a terrible idea, I'd rather if the story had no narrator at all though in the end I don't really mind. If only new chapters released more than once a year...
